The Cultural Repository project consists of two buildings focused on the care, restoration, and housing of artifacts and documents. The larger building includes administrative areas, collection spaces for museum artifacts, community relations storage, processing areas, rooms for permanent collections, special archives, two permanent collections, and two conservation laboratories for the preparation of items and archaeological artifacts.
The second building houses the NAGPRA facility, which includes a processing room, two collection spaces, and a dormitory suite designed for use during ceremonies. Together, these facilities will ensure the proper preservation, care, and respectful handling of the SRP-MIC cultural artifacts and documents.
