The Way of Life Facility (WOLF) is a 144,000 square-foot community center that serves as the home for the SRP-MIC Youth Services and Recreation Departments, as well as the Scottsdale Boys & Girls Club. This expansive two-story structure includes a three full-court indoor basketball gymnasium with a suspended running track, a natatorium featuring a 140,000-gallon pool with waterslides, a lazy river, lap pool, water play structures, and a 30-person hot tub. The facility also boasts a fitness center, a full-service commercial kitchen with a dining area, office and classroom spaces as well as a designated area for seniors.
Situated on a 14.3-acre site, the center offers a range of outdoor amenities, including a custom-designed skate park inspired by Pima-Maricopa culture, a little league baseball field with dugouts, a multi-use soccer field, a BBQ station with a custom-built chumuth grill, two outdoor restrooms, a splash pad, and play areas. The WOLF is designed to be a vibrant hub for fitness, recreation, and community engagement, offering diverse activities and spaces for all ages.
The WOLF was awarded The ENR Southwest Regional 2018 Best Projects for Best Government/Public Building.
